All KS5 students at Bishop Stopford, study RE as part of the Life and Ethics course.
These RE lessons give students the opportunity to:
- Discuss current issues that impact our society
- Develop their understanding of other worldviews (both religious and non-religious) and their own worldview
- Appreciate the complexities and diversity of our society
- Foster and deploy the skills needed to understand, interpret and evaluate texts, sources of wisdom and authority and other evidence
- Refine other important academic skills, including knowledge, application, analytical and evaluative skills, reflection, empathy, collaboration and spiritual, moral and cultural understanding.
