Music is a subject at the cultural heart of our school, with as much activity taking place outside lessons as in. It really is an opportunity for our students to discover their unique talents and to realise their unique potential.
Many students take the opportunity to begin or continue to learn an instrument with us, and the huge variety of music groups really does nurture the talents our students have. Students learn together across all years, and even with staff in some ensembles such as ukulele choir. This really is a vibrant community within our school.
Some join choirs, and other ensembles for the very first time, and thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie as well as the wonderful discipline of the world of music.
Music lessons are offered in a wide variety of instruments, provided through the Northamptonshire County Music Service.
We also ask students to share their talents with each other, and soloists or ensembles have become a regular part of Year 7 assemblies.
