There is an extensive enrichment programme at Bishop Stopford School. We put significant emphasis on nurturing and challenging our students, and fostering their independence and interdependence. As well as striving for academic excellence, developing character in our students is equally important.
Our extensive range of enrichment activities enable us to achieve these goals, and the participation of students is extremely high at each key stage.
Our clubs and societies are extensive. There are currently over 52 – and that’s not counting the competitions and other day activities we host. So students could try a new activity every week!
The purpose of our clubs and activities are many, but we really do want to give opportunities for each student to reach their unique potential. The vast range of clubs really do open up almost endless possibilities.
Most are hosted by staff, but some groups are managed by students. Our Sixth Form societies, for example, are ‘by students for students’ – in turn developing their leadership skills.
Even during lockdowns, we continued with Arts festivals, sporting challenges and a Home Learning challenge.
