Get Caught Reading

Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry for the Get Caught Reading competition. We received some fabulous, thoughtful and imaginative entries and there was no way I would have been able to choose a winner.  So, I was extremely grateful to hand over the judging into the capable hands of Miss Silverthorne and Mr Harwood who picked our overall winner and 3 runners up.

Our winner is Sebastian Griffiths (9S), who really did get caught reading as he was totally unaware that the photograph was being taken. The picture really shows the joy of sharing books and reading.

Our three runners up are:

Julia Konarski (7E), whose beautifully composed picture shows her reading in a rope bridge at the, Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall.

Poppy Hazelwood (7E) was reading while going over jumps on her pony. Poppy said that she wanted to have the picture taken whilst jumping even higher, but her Mum said NO!

Isabella Newell (7S) is pictured taking a break from sightseeing in London, where she found a handy police bike to sit on!

It looks as though the officer is also enjoying the book.

Sebastian wins a £10 Amazon gift voucher and the runners up will receive a £5 Love to Shop High Street voucher.

Thank you to everyone who took part.
