Enrichment

In BSS6 you are encouraged to broaden your studies by participating in a variety of enrichment opportunities. These include:

Societies

BSS6 has a wide variety of Societies on offer where you can experience an informative and high-quality collection of presentations and discussions.  These include the popular History society, the thought-provoking Political Economy Society or the newly founded Performing Arts society.

Prefects

You can also take on the role of BSS6 Prefect where you can help throughout the school.  These include Subject Prefect, Reading Prefects, Form Prefects, Sports Prefects and Mentor Prefects.

Sport

Physical Activity is a huge part of life here at BSS6. It is the perfect way for you to get involved in the school, meet people with similar interests, be part of a team and have fun. It is also a great release from the pressures of work and stresses of life, as well as helping to keep you healthy. Please see the downloadable timetable on this page for details.

Music

Whether you are a virtuosic pianist or a relative beginner, at BSS6 there is a wide variety of music groups.  These groups are a great way to get involved within the school community, and you get to meet lots of new people with similiar passions.

The Enrichment leaflet downloadable from this page includes details on the opportunities available and the commitment required.

Voluntary Recreational Physical Activity Session

On the download is the order of activities for the physical activity sessions, lesson times and venues.  Please note that the Option Block denotes the session which is suitable for those who don’t have a lesson in that option block.

Activities are voluntary and recreational and are open to all.  Health and enjoyment are the primary objectives; this is not school sport.

Students will need to bring a suitable change of clothing and change in the nearest changing room unless otherwise directed by PE staff.
