16-19 Tuition Fund

Bishop Stopford School is in receipt of the one-off 16-19 Tuition Funding, and will be making provision for the students to whom this funding related in line with the conditions of use.

Individual, pair or small group tuition will be provided for eligible students, as well as a variety of resources to support their learning to ensure that they reach required levels following the disruption to their learning caused by the coronavirus outbreak, subsequent lockdown and the examinations process (summer 2020).

The tuition will focus on Level 2 English and Maths, but a wider range of subjects will be considered, depending on the needs identified for the students who are eligible to benefit from this funding (ie those enrolled on a Level 3 programme of study who have not achieved a grade 4 or above in GCSE English or Maths), and those who are identified at the start of the course as vulnerable. The aim is for those students to secure at least grade 4 in GCSE Maths and English in the Autumn series of examinations.

Any remaining funding will be utilised to continue to support those students in Year 12 in their Level 3 learning, should they require it.
