Year 7 STEM Day

Last week, Year 7 students completed their final Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) day of the year.

They took a break from their normal timetable in order to take part in an exciting set of technology-based activities. The theme for the STEM day was 'Lunar Landing' and placed in small teams, the students planned a mission to the moon!

STEM days encourage students to understand the excitement and importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in their lives, and the career opportunities to which the STEM subjects can lead.

Inspiring young people to persue STEM subjects beyond compulsory education and into industry, is key to addressing the skills gap the country is currently facing.
