Student Successes

During the Christmas holiday, Iris Fraser (7E) made up 60 gift bags containing essential items and treats for those who attend the soup kitchen at St Peter and Paul Church Kettering. She then stood out in the cold on Christmas Eve to give the gift bags out.

We are sure that those who received the bags were very pleased, and Iris deserves and will receive our Core Values in Action Award this week.

Martial Arts Success

Congratulations to Bobby Mackintosh (7G) who has received his Black Belt in Jado Kuin Do.

He has worked very hard to attain this level and 7G is very proud of his accomplishment, as are we all. Well done Bobby!

Former Student Successes

Congratulations to Jack Wills who, after reading Sports Science at the University of Bedfordshire, went on to study for a Masters in Sports Performance.

This helped Jack to attain a job as a Sports Scientist for the Professional Golfers’ Association (the PGA) where he still works.

Not long after joining the PGA, Jack studied for a PhD in Biomechanics and Strength and Conditioning for Golf. He was awarded his PhD in October 2020.

Jack now consults with the European Tour in order to advise them on the best methods to physi- cally profile golfers. His assessment methods are being used to assess and design fitness inter- ventions for some of the best golfers in the world.

Additionally, he also works as a consultant Strength and Conditioning coach with the under 18s and under 16s at England Golf.

We wish Jack continued success in his exciting career.
