National Skills Show

On Thursday 16th November, fifty Year 10 pupils had the privilege to attend the National Skills Show in Birmingham. During our visit, we were able to find out about the different careers we could peruse and even had the opportunity to have some hands on experience.

The first place I visited, were the Health & Hospitality sections as I had previously taken a Careers Cloud Test which gave me an idea of the area that may be suitable for me. One of my favourite stalls was the University of Liverpool's Orthoptist section. Here they had a scanner which was able to take an image of the vessels inside your eyes as well as an eye plastic model.

As we were in groups of three or more, I also visited other zones and was impressed with the amount of literature and information that was on offer.

This was a day well spent.
