International Day

The following article was written by Hannah Brown and Penelope Coles (8D):

"The International Day was held on Wednesday 11th July and was a fun day with a great opportunity to learn other languages.

First, we were put into teams of countries (e.g. India and Dubai) and we worked in these for the morning. Throughout the morning, each country was given an envelope of money depending on the wealth of the country. Every team had to buy resources (scissors, felt etc) and build a product that would be useful to that country. The final products ranged from medical kits to wine carriers. Once we had finished making the products, we had to sell them to the other countries. In the afternoon, we learnt some different languages, such as Italian and Chinese.

It was a great experience which we thought was amazing. It has inspired us to talk more in different languages when we go away to foreign countries".
