Corona Virus Updates - 27th March

Following the most recent Covid-19 restrictions, our site is now closed to everyone except those very few students in identified groups for whom families can make absolutely no other provision. All of our staff are working from home, apart from two who are acting as carers. They cannot respond to telephone messages or visitors to site.

If you need to contact school, please refer to the Contacts page on our website for the email address of the most appropriate person. Thank you for your forbearance. Everyone’s safety is our priority.

All students have ‘Working from Home’ packs and should complete the work set over the next two weeks. Working from Home packs have been sent via e-mail to students and they are also available on Firefly. We will communicate with you regarding future work in due course. Students who need help to logon to Firefly from home should download the following guide.

This week Firefly has struggled with the volume of use, but has built additional capacity. They are now confident that the issues they faced have been resolved. For help with other IT issues please refer to the 'useful links' section of the Working from Home packs.

For those students who were to undertake A Levels and GCSEs, the government has announced further details (update on 27th March 2020) of how grades will be awarded this summer.

The Department for Education Coronavirus Helpline is available to answer any questions you have about COVID-19 relating to education and children’s social care. Staff, parents and young people can contact this helpline as follows:
Phone: 0800 046 8687 Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday), 10am to 4pm (Saturday to Sunday)

We will update this page daily and will use email and InTouch for more substantial messages for parents and students.
