Expressive Arts

Expressive Arts is a dynamic faculty comprising of Art and Design, Drama and Music. The faculty is run by a team of experienced staff, all passionate about their individual subjects.

The faculty has purpose-built facilities including a Drama studio, a suite of Music rooms and a refurbished and extended Art and Design suite opened in September 2015. All subjects are part of the KS3 curriculum and are at popular options at GCSE and A level. The faculty is well resourced with ICT opportunities throughout the curriculum with a new computer suite in Art and Design, ipads in Drama and Apple Mac computers in Music. Extra-curricular activities include gallery visits, theatre trips, Art Club, Drama Club, senior choir, girls and boys choirs, concert band, training band, brass band, orchestra as well as string, percussion and guitar ensembles. Peripatetic music lessons are offered in all instruments including voice. School productions are an important part of cross-department, extra curricular performance activities with Bugsy Malone being held in the summer of 2016 at the Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering.
